Midlands Together to raise 3m with help from the Fund to help over 100 ex-offenders acquire construction skills

The Investment and Contract Readiness Fund is helping social ventures, with potential for high growth attract new investors, or bid for and win public service delivery contracts.

The Fund has already invested 7.8m to support 81 social ventures that are looking to raise over 200m in new investment and contracts to tackle social problems and enhance lives, communities or local areas.

Jonathan Jenkins, Chief Executive of the Social Investment Business Group said:

We have seen an unprecedented demand for our investment readiness grants in the past few months indicating that the Fund is becoming key to the investment journey of high-growth social ventures. Early success stories like Midlands Together shows that the right support can really deliver results and help social ventures access new forms of finance to grow.
